I apologize for taking so long to write: I have been so busy lately that I didn’t even have a chance to enclose a note with the parcel. I spoke with the director of the publisher F. Borový and I think that your book will be published in Melantrich’s “Poetry” series. The gentlemen there have postponed until spring part of their winter program, e.g. Mikulášek’s book, Pujmanová’s and others, which have long been ready, and you were assigned to the spring: Lord knows how far you would have been pushed back. I took out for issue 1 of Kritický měsíčník (The Critical Monthly) the poem that you had marked for me. I hope that you gave Bednář the promised poem for Almanach (Almanac). I look forward to seeing you again soon.
